Summer
The first days of the summer always fill the school with peace and quiet. Students have left after graduation. The housekeepers and maintenance staff are busy cleaning up after the busy activity of the year. In mid-June, the campus quickly fills with staff for the summer camp. By the end of the June, the campers arrive and fill the school with sounds and activity.

Winter
Winter at Grier is a time when kids often appreciate the fact that most of the school's buildings are interconnected! Snow falls at Grier any time between December and March, sometimes remaining on the ground for days on end and other times melting as soon as it hits the ground. Each winter, the activities of the students include skiing, sledding and other snow sports. Luckily, most of the day is spent indoors so the girls do not need to trudge from class to class with boots and coats on!
