Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre productions bring together all facets of Performing Arts at Grier: instrumental and vocal musicians, actors, dancers, and stagecraft and costume crews. These productions are marvelous feats of talent, dedication, cooperation, and collaboration among students and teachers. Under lively, nurturing direction, students develop stage and musical talents, along with responsibility and time management skills.

Performances

Grier produces two musical theatre performances each year. The first is a December Musical Theatre Showcase that features group numbers, solos, and monologues by students in Musical Theatre I and Musical Theatre II classes. Rehearsals and production for the annual spring musical begin second semester, culminating in a musical theatre show in late April or early May.
