Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 12! To help Grier students make a thoughtful and unique gift for their moms or mother-figures, Bridge Club organized a crafting event. For $10, students create a Mother’s Day card and a handmade gift. The gift options include a miniature canvas and easel, a tote-bag, and a journal. Students transform the plain objects into one-of-a-kind gifts for their mom using an array of colorful art supplies. Bridge Club is donating proceeds from the Mother’s Day Gift event to the Epilepsy Foundation.
According to the Epilepsy Foundation’s website, 65 million people worldwide have this disorder and one-third of people with epilepsy live with uncontrollable seizures because none of the available treatments work for them. The Epilepsy Foundation works to spread awareness of the disorder and aims to improve and save lives through community services, public education, access to care campaign, research initiatives, and new therapies funding.
