Master Classes Lead to Amazing Dance Gala Showcases
Throughout the year, guest artists join Grier's dance instructors to provide opportunities for dancers to work with internationally renowned teachers, dancers, and choreographers. Recently, Grier dancers worked with award winning master teacher and choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie.
During the course of his visit, Moultrie taught master classes to students at all levels and worked with groups of dancers to teach, set choreography, and develop professional relationships that extend beyond Grier's campus.
The week of mentoring from the master teacher culminated in two showcases: a Friday evening student showcase, where students exhibited the dance technique and choreography developed during the week, and a Saturday evening professional showcase where Moultrie and other professional dancers performed. This is a wonderful opportunity for dancers and non-dancers to witness the art form at the highest level.
