Grier Western Champions Are Headed to Nationals!

Congratulations to everyone who competed at The Zone 2 Championships! Both the upper school and middle school western teams were Zone 2 champions and moving on to national finals!
Lindsay S. was champion in future intermediate team horsemanship and was reserve champion in the future intermediate team reining. Rachel L. was champion in team future novice horsemanship, Claire A. was champion in team future beginner horsemanship, Anna E. was champion in team open horsemanship while Slone V. was reserve champion in team open reining. Kayla K. was champion in team intermediate reining, MacKenzie A. won her beginner team horsemanship and Lindsay W. won her team novice horsemanship.

Individual riders who will move on to national finals in Lexington, KY include Lindsay S. who was reserve champion in her individual future intermediate reining, Anna E. who was champion in open horsemanship, Elisobeth W. was reserve champion in open horsemanship, Kayla K. was champion in Intermediate horsemanship, Lindsay W. who was champion in individual novice horsemanship, Sam A. was champion in future beginner horsemanship, and Ella P. who was reserve champion in the novice hunt seat equitation on the flat.

Lindsay S. was also reserve high point zones rider overall and won the versatility award which is awarded to the combined highest placing zones rider that competed in both hunt seat and western. Lauren H. was reserve champion in the hunt seat open championship, and both hunt seat and western "best horse of the show" awards went to Grier horses!
