A Warm Welcome to Grier
The only thing warmer than the weather during Opening Weekend this year was the welcome students and their families received from Grier's Administration and Faculty. As families arrived in vehicles laden with dorm room necessities, students checked in at registration tables where they received important information including class schedules.
On Friday afternoon, Grier invited parents to attend an informational meeting in the Dance Building while many students completed their math placement tests. By the time parents said good-bye, the girls had entered a busy weekend of fun and friendship that culminated with an all-school trip to DelGrosso's Amusement Park and Laguna Splash Water Park. After the fun day at the park, students reconvened in the Dance Building for a Sunday evening meeting that included Faculty member introductions. The year was surely off to a good start when one student noted to Mrs. Borst, "We are home."
