Grier Climbers Compete in Milton Meltdown

On Saturday, February 11, freshman Rori K. and sophomore Lulu T. competed, along with Grier English teacher Mr. Tony Lang, in the 7th annual Milton Meltdown at a rock climbing gym in Milton, Pennsylvania.
The Milton Meltdown is a bouldering competition. In the bouldering style of rock climbing, climbers do not use any harnesses or ropes and remain at a lower height on the rock wall. While not required, most climbers opt to wear tight-fitting climbing shoes that provide better grip.

Mr. Lang reported that both Grier students,"climbed really well and sent some really hard problems climbing in the intermediate division. They had a really good time and represented Grier well."
