Earth-Concious Volunteers Help Reinvision Huntingdon
In celebration of Earth Day, on Saturday, April 22nd, Mrs. Brubaker and several Grier students joined other community volunteers in a work day at the Huntingdon Community Food Garden. Grier students helped to complete fencing, relocate the compost pile, mow grass, weed and edge the beds, and mulch the beds in this garden that helps feed Huntingdon county residents.
The Huntingdon Community Food Garden is one of ReInvision Huntingdon's many projects that offer support to the Huntingdon community. Last year, the garden produced more than $1,000 worth of produce that was donted to area food banks, a number ReInvision expects to triple with this year's harvest.
The effort was documented by the local news and also on ReInvision Huntingdon's Facebook feed.
