Grier's "Sister Act" Receives 10 Nominations for ISAAC Awards
Grier is so excited to announce that our spring musical received multiple nominations for the Altoona Community Theatre's (ACT) 12th Annual Isaacs Awards, which recognize excellence in high school musical theatre. For the spring musical Sister Act, Grier received ten nominations across seven different categories.
Judges from ACT watched high school musical productions in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, and Huntingdon counties before announcing the nominees from twenty area schools. The ISAAC Awards span two nights of performances on the Benzel Stage of Altoona's Historic Mischler Theatre. Two students from each school will perform a group opening number and each school will perform one number from their production, similar to the Tony Awards format.
ACT will award $1000 Scholarships to each winner of the six individual categories and will randomly present two schools with $1000 towards their 2017-2018 production budget.

Sister Act
Grier students will perform on stage and learn the results during the Saturday Night Isaac Award ceremony on May 27th. Musical Director Mrs. Ginger Reinhardt will also present Grier's own award for MVP to Amy Y. during the event.
This is Grier's first time participating in the Isaac Awards and the experience is thrilling. Congratulations to Mrs. Reinhardt, the nominated students, and to all that had a part in bringing Sister Act together.
