Grier 5K to Support Hurricane Victims
NHS is hosting a 5K walk/run on the Sunday of Parents Weekend. All members of the Grier community (including all Parents Weekend visitors!) are welcome to participate. All proceeds from this event will go to support victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Please find more information below.
Race Location/Date:
Grier School campus on Sunday, October 15th. Registration begins at 7:45 AM in the auditorium. All participants need to be registered and at the colonnade by 8:30 AM on Sunday morning.
Course Description:
The race will go through campus and around parts of Birmingham. Certain areas are hilly. The loop is one mile long, so all participants must complete the loop three times to complete the 5K.
Entry Cost Information:
$10.00 Basic Registration Fee; $20.00 Registration Fee includes Grier 5K T-Shirt. Children age 10 and under may participate free of charge.
Please note, if you register AFTER Wednesday, September 27, we cannot guarantee your t-shirt/race bag will be ready by race day. You will be able to pick up your t-shirt/race bag in Mrs. Thibodeau’s room later in October.
Payment Information:
Students may voucher the registration fee. Parents, friends, and family members must mail a check to the address below. You may also turn in your check on race day (please submit your registration
form as soon as possible so that we know you plan to participate).

This race will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, Grier reserves the right to cancel the race for the safety of race participants. If the race is canceled, we are unable to issue any refunds.
