Grier is so proud to announce that our revered Head of School Gina Borst recently received a prestigious award: The ATHENA Leadership Award. The award is bestowed by ATHENA International, a non-profit organization that seeks to support, develop and honor women leaders. The ATHENA Leadership Award’s rich history, international scope, and focus on mentorship distinguish it as one of the most prestigious leadership awards one can receive.
Inspired by the Greek goddess Athena, known for her strength, courage, wisdom, and enlightenment, the ATHENA Leadership award honors leaders for professional excellence, community service, and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.
Mrs. Gina Borst received the award last night, during the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala and learned that former Head of School, the late Mr. Andrew M. Wilson had nominated her for this award.
Award recipients assist women in reaching their full leadership potential, provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community, and demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession. Award recipient’s aslo provide valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
Please join the entire Grier community in congratulating our Head of School Gina Borst for this great accolade.
