Students Perform at Gettsyburg College in Singing Competition

Each year, Grier’s Vocal Music Department competes in the National Association of Teachers Singing (NATS) Student Auditions. This year, Riley F., Linden M., Mary D., Erzsebet M., and Katie S. competed in the Allegheny Mountain Chapter Student Auditions at Gettsyburg College.
The students gave individual performances, live in the Sunderman Conservatory’s Schmucker Hall. The Grier students all competed in the High School Musical Theatre Women's category and their performances were about 8-10 minutes in length.
  • Riley – So In Love, A Little Bit Less Than, and A Quiet Thing
  • Erzsi – Perfect, Anyone Can Whistle, and Baubles, Bangles and Beads
  • Mary – How Lovely To Be a Woman, Not A Day Goes By, and Right Hand Man
  • Linden – Promise Me This, You Can’t Be Everything You Want, and Always True To You in My Fashion
  • Katie – A Trip to the Library, 100 Easy Ways to Lose a Man, and What Only Love Can See
All the Grier singers performed well in their auditions. Riley won second place in her division and performed a new challenge: a sing-off!
