Grier dancers graced the stage before a packed audience of students, teachers, friends, and family on Friday's annual Winter Dance Performance. This program was an opportunity for the dancers to demonstrate routines and skills they have been developing throughout the fall semester with their dance instructors at Grier and the guest artists who have offered master classes during the semster.
Before the program began, Grier Dance Director Jocelyn Hrzic congratulated her pre-professional students whose dance performances at Grier's recent Gala earned them recognition from some highly reputable summer intensive dance programs and universities, including Point Park University Summer Intensive, Peridance, Broadway Dance, Lehrer Dance, Koresh Dance, and West Michigan University.

Dancers of all levels contributed to the rich and varied program featuring twenty numbers, representing a wide variety of dance styles and influences, including contemporary ballet, modern dance, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Several numbers reflect the choreography of Grier's recent guest artists: Candice Culmer-Smith, Jon Lehrer, Darrell Grand Moultrie, and Melissa Rector. Grier is fortunate to have such great talent and enthusiasm for the art of dance among our students and our dance instructors Mrs. Jocelyn Hrzic, Ms. Danielle Bower, and Ms. Emmallee Hallinan.
