Grier’s Select Singers Choir sang before a huge audience when they performed the National Anthem at a baseball game in Altoona this month. The choir performed on the field, singing before the first pitch of the minor league game where the Altoona Curve faced the Erie Seawolves. The choir members stayed to enjoy the game along with their director Mrs. Ginger Reinhardt and her family. The game ended with a 2-1 win for the home team.
Select Singers is one of the music ensembles available to students at Grier. In addition to a number of orchestra and band ensembles, vocalists may participate in Concert Choir, Select Singers, and Junior Select Singers. In the upcoming school year, Grier’s Music Department will also offer Grier Singers, an intensive honors choir class designed for Grier’s most serious vocal students.
