Grier educators, students, and staff came together by wearing the color orange as a symbol of unity against bullying. Unity Day was begun by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011. The purpose of Unity Day is to create a day where everyone demonstrates a united belief in kindness, acceptance, and inclusion of all students, for all students.
Participants of Unity Day conveyed the message: Every person deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, no matter their differences. Schools and organizations across America celebrated Unity Day along with Grier on October 23, 2019. The Anti-Bullying Club at Grier works to spread a message that creates a world free of bullying.
