Grier Library's reading program called "One School, One Story" challenges anybody and everybody that is part of the Grier community to read the same book. To participate in the program, simply read this year's selected book: We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Several copies are available in the Grier Library.
Adichie's book is a slim 48-page essay adapted from her admired TEDx talk (shared here below). In the book, award-winning author Nigerian-born Adichie presents an eloquently articulated arguement for twenty-first century feminism; one that is more inclusive and embracing of "a wide range of people and experiences" (School Library Journal). This tiny book will give each one of us much to think about and to discuss with each other.
