Students Create Fall Decorations for Senior Citizens
To celebrate the wonderful fall season, members of Grier’s Garden Club created gifts for the residents of a local assisted-living facility. first, girls and their advisor, Mrs. Fernandes, journeyed to a local farm where they selected assorted gourds. The following day, the group met to assemble the festive fall decorations. They adorned the gourds with a mixture of dried flowers from Peterman’s Flower Shop and silk flowers and decorative elements from Mrs. Fernandes’ own collection. The decorations will be given to the elderly residents of Colonial Courtyard, a local assisted-living facility. What a fantastic way to bring joy to the local community!
